This is a sad time, a time for quiet and happy contemplation, a time for the family to celebrate and reflect a memorable conclusion of a loved ones life.
At Alderson and Horan funeral services, we personally deal with the family throughout the process, getting to know them, instilling confidence and offering our friendship and advice.
We are sympathetic, caring and family orientated, taking time to listen to your requests, offering help and advice then together we can arrange a funeral that is both suitable and relevant for your family circumstances.
During your time of need we will manage and care for the all the family at this difficult time.
Our caring approach can be seen as just another branch of nursing, referring to the deceased as the patient. Caring is our uppermost priority and continues with the family long after the funeral.
The Alderson and Horan funeral parlour moves away from the traditional approach, to a modern contemporary approach with a relaxed atmosphere, tasteful floral decorations, a light and calming colour scheme with gentle background music to fit the occasion. We offer the facility of a beautifully dedicated chapel, along with reposing rooms for quiet contemplation. Please look around our entrance, chapel, and office with our virtual tour.
We are situated opposite the Cemetery Gates at 128 Rossendale Road, Burnley, Lancashire. BB11 5DH

From my first contact with you by telephone leading up to the days prior to my Wife's death my telephone conversations with you were met with complete understanding and sympathy and treated with the utmost confidentiality should abnyone else have been present in my home at the time.
On the day of Marion's death your administrations in my home were treated with sensitivity and kindness to those of my family present, you removed my Wife's body and left her bedroom in a condition which I and my family can only describe as very peaceful and serene with a flower on her pillow, we all thank you for that.
Prior to my Marion's cremation you and your staff went out of your way to provide us with access to view Marion at anytime, so that those who were working could c
